Nootan Kumar’s spring 2025 online introductory pranayama 6-week workshop was a wonderful opportunity to deep-dive into something most of us take for granted: breathing! Her weekly sessions taught us to build a foundation of breathing steps that could help monitor and control our actions and described the purpose behind each breathing technique, and how the combination affects our physical and mental forms. The techniques were easy to follow outside of the class time, and the benefits of being aware of our breathing were noted quickly by the students. I trusted Nootan to teach a powerful but fun session that was about observance and being open-minded to this practice!
